from atop a mountain, everything looks smaller - fragile, even. city lights twinkle idly against a darkening sky and the air is tinged with metal. she can taste the bitterness on her tongue.

there's a calmness to her, a stillness to be found in fleeting acceptance. her part in it all has yet to truly come into fruition, sure, but low whispers of no choice, they're forcing your hand carry her into some semblance of a detached viewpoint. what happens from here, she can't say, but it has been deserved. the price is already gild in ichor.

he disrupts spatial matter with each silent step. she can feel the ripples pluck and pry at the strings of awareness, trying to find the right snag to unravel already fraying seams.

still, she stands as a statue - cool, marbled, built as a shrine to the cosmos she's become.
